I plan on second skinning my trunk to seal it a little. I have no idea how much to order and funds are tight, does anyone have an idea on how much i should order? IE: second skin is like damplifier but IMO much better.

To answer your questions in the Big 3 thread...

No, I'm not SMD. I just visit and read. I was following HighVoltage's cavalier build on another forum, then he started updating his threads in SMD more often.

I dont have much deadener in my car. I cant give you a good estimate on how many sq ft you need. I will say I have zero issues with vibrations with my trunk floor or walls. Everything is tight on my trunk lid and I sprayed expanding foam into its voids long ago. So it flexes a bit but does not make noise. I had vibrations in the rear deck with just the stock speakers. That is where almost all the deadening in my car has been put so far.

I can get you some basic dimensions from my box. Its big enough that there is very very little leeway to increase the width or height dimensions without modifying the car to get it to fit. Cant go too much deeper with the width and height as they are and still be able to get it in/out of the trunk.

External dimensions on the box are 15x34x 14 1/2 deep

Yeah my box now is about that big, i was going to build one that is deeper ( front to back ), my speakers called for 1.5 ft3 per chamber sealed.
