lol, stick to building the car.
I think it is great that you have found the breaking point for the trans. I know the limit has been discussed, but to destroy 3rd in the middle of the pull is pretty definitive.

What do you have going on in the suspension if you wouldnt mind?
Id say with a real nice ported head, some turbo cams, and maybe a tubular turbo manifold youd be into the mid 10's if the thing could keep traction.

Note: this transmission had 32 passes over 100mph allready and the gears had 120k I think thats pretty good. just 3rd gear syncro worn out.Everything ulse looks perfect on it.

Has this thing seen the Dyno yet? Honestly this car never been in a DYNO so if you guys have an idea how much horsepower I am pushing with this beast I am all open to your comments, my DYNO used to be open desert outside of phoenix, we have found an open road about a 1 mile road when ends straight there is a nice hill I go up that hill in 4th gear over 130mph, I really dont recomend this to anybody I almost lost control many times underboost. testing like this is dangerous because especially if something goes wrong UFF! OOPS! ETC....But there is no cops, no houses so is cool place to do it. I get to know the car pretty good too.

I called Ferrea racing components, they all ready have kit dual valve springs and the titanium caps i think it was like $700.00 plus. Never have any problems going over 7,500rpm.

google a hp calculator, input the vehicle weight and trap speed, it will give you an approximate hp.

Very nice work man and it's obvious you have spent some time and learning from mistakes to get there, but with that time it looks like it's paid off. I totally understand if you don't want to tell people everything you did on the car, that is totally your prerogative, don't worry about some of these guys, they are harmless lol.
totally agree. i myself dont let everyone know what all is done to the ride. its nice to have some things for yourself.... now granted there are the select few that know everything or are smart enough to figure it out on their own..

ECOtec FTW!!! "Consider this: 800 hp is a lot. On a 2.2L motor with 750hp--three-quarters of a thousand--you're basically dealing with 6.14 hp per cubic inch. Pressures and stresses of all kinds--thermal and mechanical loading across the board--escalate to extreme levels. A Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 V8 with this much specific power (horseposer per cubic inch) would be making 2,137 hp."

What do you have going on in the suspension if you wouldnt mind? OH! almost forgot about that, i got stock strut with some lower spring kit from a saturn wrecked I found in a car lot belive it or not, now! i did some brackets, desing bushings and other parts like rods etc..,added bump stoppers to stiff the rear as much as i could, also design some metal small tubes underbody to make the car little more solid, I had a lot of issues trying all this stuff, like I said before I made mistakes in finding something that worked, finally got the best I think until i decide to spent a lot of money in fancy drag racing style struts for the rear only, i am not to worry about the front other than replacing with new struts all the weight is in the front. the car feels good down the track does not shake or vibrate or nothing but i know the rear still need some work.
Id say with a real nice ported head, some turbo cams, and maybe a tubular turbo manifold youd be into the mid 10's if the thing could keep traction.

If you estimate the car wieghs in at about 1900lbs, with those time you are in the 300hp range (at the flywheel).
It may not seem like alot of power, but the car is stripped to the bone.
If you increase the weight of the car to around 2500 (about the stock wieght with passenger ) then you need about 100 more hp to get those numbers.
We can make these cars produce the HP need to get 9/10 second passes, but we need traction and a stronger clutch to get it there.
I will pass on the 3rd gear breaking...I have seen them break like what was described on a stock car...it may have had a weak spot...IDK.
