Niice AND it's my favorite gen Civic.  To co-sign with everyone, not 15k.  Honestly, 8k...firm.

that motor alone is practically worth 15k, like holy shit a K motor. and its so clean I doubt its been beat on.

Again you are on crack. You can find that engine very reasonably priced.

if on crack, then you would see him running toward the scrapyard with that engine in hand

I agree with everyone. $15k is wayyy too much. However it's my favorite gen, favorite color, and flawless with a K series.
Agreeably it needs boost, however I'd rock it for a good amount of time without it. Guy says 60k on the body, and 10k on the new K motor.

15k?? thats wayyyyyy to much for any eco car not just a civic, and for that price it better have boost. I thought parts were cheaper for civic because everyone is making parts for them.

They are usually, but when you use ALL the best parts, it adds up.

to extreme levels. A Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 V8 with this much specific power (horseposer per cubic inch) would be making 2,137 hp."

C'mon, you know the sum of the parts is always greater than the total.  You almost always make more money selling parts than the cars they are in.

Why must people insist on arguing?

No shit in 99% of cases you'll never get back what you put in. I have a feeling I MAY know a thing or two about that... My point is that the car alone is probably worth $5,000 seeing how clean it is, then add ALL the parts ($15,000+ worth plus labor) and you'll understand why someone prices something how they do. Also, in the Honda world it is MUCH more likely to sell for a price like that.. Not only that, but how many cars are done like THAT? Jays? Adams? Jegsters? Maybe a few others? Almost everyone who tries selling has a "minor problem" or "slight cosmetic issue" because no one takes pride in their builds around here. Plus our community is 298387x smaller then Honda Tech or any honda site, so it's that much more likely to find someone with money that doesn't mind buying someone elses project.

I wish we had more high caliber builds in this community. IMO there are only a handful of elite Saturn builds out there, though it seems like there are more and more up and coming. And what Justin says about that Civic is right. $15k may seem like a LOT of money for a car like that but it is coming from a community that oozes the demand to meet that sort of asking price. Hell why do you think those things get stolen so much? The Honda community throws down stupid amounts of money for their cars/parts. I find that a very desirable example of an EM1. Its clean and potent.

please tell me you guys are kidding saying that civic could run 12s....

Why wouldn't it? A hopped up K-Series is good for an astounding amount of horsepower (maybe not torque) in a fairly light chassis. As long as your getting the traction that thing should easily be in the 12's IMO.

Haven't gotten around to reading this thread past the first picture on the first page,  but I love that Honda Civic.  I hate flashy Civics, and this one is so clean.  My favorite generation as well, and the work done on it looks awesome.

Two thumbs up, and an extra one if you end up buying it.

lol at some people in this thread.

Hey Randy, you should yank your K series out of your EG hatch and sell it for 15K son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like Adam said, if you wanted a civic, pick up an old EG hatch (best civic ever IMO) or coupe, both lighter and the engine and do it yourself for less money. Also, that car here would have a short life span, like most Honda's and Nissans, they are stolen very frequently.
